Treat yourself or a friend this winter to our Norah Head Lighthouse artist retreat. Select from 3-nights, weekday or weekend and join us as we cosy on into our beautiful newly renovated & refurbished accommodation to create our hand made art journals. These journals speak volumes, as we add our multiple medium artworks to each page before we hand sew these lovely creations together. The oceanic surrounds of the lighthouse make a spectacular scenery to wander around and draw en plein air on location, or to take a snapshot to work on inside.
We have many various workshops all with an oceanic nautilus flavour, which cater for all skill levels, and you are encouraged to add your own style to it. Most materials are supplied in your Kit & Kaboodle, but we will have a few materials you may need to bring with you. (Full materials list on registration). We have 2-3 hour workshops throughout the day - morning, afternoon and evenings. These include, drawing, painting, mixed media collage, stamp carving and printmaking as well as many opportunities to wander and gather and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Night owls may continue creating into the night, and early birds might be up and on the beach for sunrise pics. We encourage everyone to go at their own pace....it's your retreat after all.
Full itinerary available upon inquiry and registration.
NORAH HEAD LIGHTHOUSE is Australia's third most easterly point, situated between Sydney and Newcastle, about an hour and a half between both cities, on the New South Wales picturesque Central Coast. It was the last of James Barnett designs with the dome feature. He also designed the Byron Bay Lighthouse, on Australia's most Easterly point, but with turrets instead of domes in the design. The retreat includes a lighthouse tour where the Central Coast views are spectacular!
