Reasons We're So Passionate About KIDS ART?
WE ALL KNOW ART IS GOOD FOR YOU!
Art is both an intellectual and an emotional expression of an attitude or experience that is presented in a personal manner. Throughout Arts Inc. programs students will develop an understanding of the visual arts as both a learning area and a form of expression, particularly within the early years setting.
It is well documented and recognised that as young children develop, their idea of 'self' can be seen through their creations, and visual arts becomes a language for them to express themselves.
Our art courses progress from 3 year olds at Petite Picasso's, through to to Art Phase 1, Art Phase 2 , and Art Phase 3, onto portfolio work and college entry, allowing students to gain an understanding of visual arts and develop their own creativity. In particular, students will develop skills in art, making observations, developing ideas through visual inquiry and creating artworks using a range of mediums across various techniques.
It's not too late to be part of the art! We are taking Current Registrations HERE!

This term (3), students are creating paintings of Sunsets and Reflections. We did warm up drawing activities to loosen up our sketch lines to create a small series of sunset postcards. These warm-up designs and colour trial ideas are added to our sketchbooks. This is an important part of the design cycle because it lets young artists sit with their ideas in their sketchbooks and then make edits and alter their initial thinking. This decision making part is where there is a switch in focussing on the final design to enjoying the "what if's" and experiment with colour and accidental blends and "what happens when"... This especially is important during the critical thinking part of switching from watercolour sketches to large acrylic paintings.
As this is a short term we will be hitting the ground running with longer sessions (3h). New students and returning will be working diligently to complete their work to the level of excellence that I always expect. Working at home in their home studio is a holistic approach to becoming a fully rounded artist. We advise young artists to broaden their media and develop multiple ways of creating and not to focus on only one medium. Their sketchbooks are a great representation of their skills and way of creative thinking.
Class sizes are small and students all receive individual guidance and instruction.
We hope your child can join us.
