Reasons we need more art in our lives:
ART IS GOOD FOR YOU!
Art is both an intellectual and an emotional expression of an attitude or experience that is presented in a personal and unique manner. Throughout Arts Inc. programs students will develop an understanding of the visual arts as both a learning area and a form of expression, particularly within the early years setting. It is well documented and recognised that as young children develop, their idea of 'self' can be seen through their creations, and visual arts becomes a language for them to express themselves.
All of our art courses progress from Petite Picasso's, through to Art Phase 1, Art Phase 2 , and Art Phase 3, to portfolio work, ATAR, and college entry, allow students to gain an understanding of visual arts and develop their own creativity. In particular, students will develop skills in art, making observations, developing ideas through visual inquiry and creating artworks using a range of mediums across various techniques.

At ARTS Inc. we LOVE kids and believe each child is born creative! We believe each child should be given the opportunity to run a large paintbrush through paint, and have the opportunity to keep inspired! Let your child be guided to create something amazing, with qualified and experienced art teacher and practicing artist, Paula MacMillan Perich.
At Arts Inc. Kids Classes you can expect your child to be immersed in a highly creative hands-on program, experimenting with multiple mediums and a variety of techniques. Each art class follows a term-based theme, (so each new season offers new units). Each term is filled with creative discovery, to encourage your child become smART about ART, focusing on the foundations of art - the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design, as well as art appreciation and awareness of famous artists, plus the needs of the individual, while allowing each child to discover and explore their own creativity.
There are many benefits of introducing your child to the joys of painting and creativity. Researchers note that early brain wiring and involvement in the arts, programs your brain to observe more creatively and to lead an on-going creative life. Art has been noted to have therapeutic health benefits (too many benefits to list here), but long term art involvement and brain wiring is noted to enhance mindfulness and create inner peace and calm.
Creative thinking benefits students in other areas of life and study, as it leads to children being better problem solvers, more confident, patient, balanced, creative thinkers, who can concentrate longer, and are prepared to take risks. They are more likely to continue a creative life path, than those children not as privileged. What are you waiting for?

ARTS Inc. 2008-2022
I have had a very busy 2024 year, starting with my second year at West End Gallery & Studio
Registration for weekly ARTS Inc. studio in-person classes are still ongoing, offering a wide creative program for both adults and children. To offer your child the best art education at home we also teach online. Fore more details CLICK HERE!
So far we have offered these popular classes: Fabulous Faces; Silkscreening Basics; Block Printing; Shibori Dye Techniques; Basket Coiling: Mindful Mandalas; Fabric Painting: Hand-Built Pottery; with more workshops upcoming.
You can inquire or register for the remainder of the current Semester art classes HERE.
After June 2024 I will have reduced my teaching schedule, especially for face-to-face weekly classes, for a variety of reasons, one of which is I have returned to University to study my love of Architecture, (the father of all arts), and to build my art business in my new location, and to focus on my own art career. Art Teachers all need to take time to nourish our own creativity and to see where our work takes us next and to focus on some of the other aspects of art as a business.
I may add one or two more community exhibition or en plein air events, but it will definitely be a reduced schedule from previous years and I hope you understand.
I’m very much looking forward to teaching at the venues lined up here on my Workshops and Retreats pages and hope very much to see some of you there!
If you are interested in having me visit your school, book group, birthday or farewell event or creative group, please register your organisation name, contact and email HERE!
